Seaview Investors is managed by Robert Alter, one of the premier hotel investment and management executives in the hospitality industry. Mr. Alter is Chairman Emeritus and Founder of Sunstone Hotel Investors (NYSE:SHO). During the 22 year period of Mr. Alter’s position as CEO, Sunstone acquired 125 hotel properties with over 20,000 guest rooms and led the disposition of 80 hotels. Mr. Alter oversaw approximately $1 billion of renovations and brand conversions and built 7 ground-up hotels, including the JW Marriott Cherry Creek, among others. Mr. Alter has received entrepreneurial awards from Ernst & Young as Entrepreneur of the Year in 1998, the Orange County Business Journal in 2006, and the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at Cornell University in 2008. Mr. Alter is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, and resides with his wife, Joni, in Newport Coast, California; collectively they have four grown children.

Joni has served on the executive team of Seaview Investors since it’s inception in 2006, responsible for the overall sales, marketing, staffing and RevPAR performance of the Seaview portfolio of hotels. Joni oversees all aspects of the sales efforts for each property including revenue management, e-commerce, advertising, and sales deployment to maximize revenues and achieve hotel profit objectives. With over 30 years of experience in the hotel business, Joni previously was Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Remington Hotels, overseeing 17 properties across the U.S. and was Director of Marketing for Interstate Hotels and Resorts, where she was Director of Sales and Marketing for the Westin Bonaventure and Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort. Prior to that, Joni held a variety of executive sales and marketing positions with hotel management firms including Richfield Hospitality, Northwest Hospitality, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Red Lion Hotels. Joni is a graduate of the University of California at Irvine, and resides in Newport Coast, California with her husband, Robert.

Hannah Greenberg joined Seaview Investors in 2013 as Vice President of Development and Senior Analyst, spearheading Seaview’s development efforts. This including underwriting, acquisition due-diligence, sourcing new investment opportunities, as well as asset analysis related to the Company’s existing investments. Ms. Greenberg most recently worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the hospitality and leisure real estate consulting practice, providing advisory services in a variety of disciplines. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Hannah’s hospitality experience included positions at Kimpton Hotels and Marriott International (Ritz-Carlton and Renaissance brands) spanning areas of finance, acquisitions, revenue management, marketing, and guest services. Ms. Greenberg received a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University with an emphasis in Real Estate and Hotel Development, and resides in Newport Beach.

Diana Owen has served in various accounting, auditing and financial management capacities over the last 26 years. Her association with Robert Alter, founder of Seaview Investors, dates back over 13 years. She was hired as his personal financial assistant when he was CEO of Sunstone Hotel Investors, then later was promoted to the role of CFO. Ms. Owen has experience in financial reporting, budgeting, profitability analysis, process implementation and procedure documentation, and oversight of accounting and treasury functions. After establishing her career in her native country of South Africa, Ms. Owen traveled to Europe and settled in The Netherlands, working part-time for a CPA firm while completing her bachelor’s degree in Accounting by correspondence through University of South Africa (UNISA). She passed her CPA exam in the U.S. in 1997, after moving here in search of better opportunities. Ms. Owen resides in Aliso Viejo, California and most values spending time with her family, which includes three fascinating teenagers.

Bob oversees the implementation, deployment and ongoing management of all property internet and networking, WiFi and DAS coverage, telecommunications systems and carriers, Property Management Systems, and television entertainment distribution systems and components at the portfolio hotels.
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Solomon Alter joined Seaview Investors in 2015 as Director of Development, to assist with Seaview’s development efforts. This includes underwriting, acquisition due-diligence, sourcing new investment opportunities, as well as asset analysis related to the company’s existing investments. Mr. Alter most recently worked at Hospitality Real Estate Counselors, where he provided investment banking analysis and support for the hospitality brokerage services division. During his time there he valued nearly a billion dollars of hotel real estate across the United States and was personally involved in over $270 million dollars of successful hotel real estate transactions. Solomon has held multiple positions within the hospitality industry including experience at established operators such as Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Marriott International (Marriott and JW Marriott) as well as experience at unique operations such as Mt. Ruapehu and Coronet Peak ski areas, Skylake Yosemite Camp, and the Gas Lamp Hostel. Mr. Alter received a BSBA in Hotel, Restaurant, & Tourism Management from the University of Denver. Solomon resides in Costa Mesa, California with his beloved dog, Archer.
